MARTIAL ARTS

 

Divian Ladwa was a black belt in Kung Fu.

He competed on an international level representing the UK and winning several medals for the UK Chin Woo team.

He was taught by Master Lee, Yoke Wan at the UK Chin Woo school in the Northern Shaolin System and for a brief period by Master Chow of Singapore and by the Malaysian team in Kuala Lumpar.

STAGE FIGHTING

 

Divian used to perform Shakespearean sword fights based on the practice of sword masters of Shakespeare's time. The demonstrations were conducted at The Globe Theatre's Exhibition for the general public and for corporate events.   

He has, in the past, achieved the highest grade - a Recommendation with the BADC and a distinction with the BASSC in his fight exams. He also held a Grade III with the British Fencing Association.

He has assisted Philip Stafford with lectures and workshops for drama and ballet schools and to university students visiting The Globe as well as other performance institutions such as the Royal Opera House.
